If you need a few laughs to brighten up your day, check out Sinbad’s recent visit to Tunica on Tunica TV. The comedian was at The Funny Bone Comedy Club at Harrah’s Tunica in May, and we were left in tears from laughing so hard.
The Funny Bone at Harrah’s is Tunica’s only comedy club. It’s not uncommon for headliners like Sinbad to visit The Funny Bone. Jim Carrey and Steve Harvey are past performers, and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Tim Meadows will perform at the club September 14-16. There are performances at The Funny Bone most Tuesday through Sunday nights, so check The Funny Bone website for a complete schedule of upcoming performances.

The Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau has been informed that many of our hotel and casino properties have had inquiries regarding Hurricane Isaac’s effect on our area. Please note that the Tunica hospitality and tourism industry located in North Mississippi approximately 350 miles from the Gulf Coast will not be effected by Hurricane Isaac. The Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau will host an after hours open house this Wednesday, June 27 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. Homemade Jamz – The Youngest Blues Band in the Land will be the first ever act to perform live on the Highway 61 – Gateway to the Blues Stage. The event is geared to expose the members of the Tunica hospitality industry and local population on the opening of the 1st phase of the Gateway to the Blues Visitor Center, Museum and Office Complex located along US Highway 61.
