3rd Annual Blues Tweetup

The 3rd annual music pilgrimage to the Birthplace of America’s Music has begun and Blind Mississippi Morris is back in Tunica for another great evening of live blues music.  Named as one of the 10 best harmonica players in the world by Bluzharp magazine, Morris will perform from one of the Delta’s most unique venues – the Gateway to the Blues Visitor Center Stage alongside Blues Highway 61 on Wednesday, October 8th at 5:30 pm.

Alive After Five Concerts – Downtown Tunica

Each Spring we pull out the lawn chairs and stock the coolers for the Alive After Five concert series in downtown Tunica. The concerts are the last Friday of the month in May and June and are held in Rivergate park. Scheduled to perform this year is Nancy Apple and the WDB and Delta Heart.  Here is a clip from last years concert where the Memphis Snake Doctors performed. 2nd Annual Blues Tweetup with Blind Mississippi Morris

The 2nd annual Bridging the Blues musical pilgrimage begins with 2 festivals just 90 miles from each other –  the Delta Country Music Jam in Tunica and the Mighty Mississippi Music Fest  just outside of Greenville the weekend of October 4th.  The ten-day three state music festival concludes in Helena, AR with the King Biscuit Blues Festival.
