You might have a favorite casino resort that is your only stop in Tunica for every visit. If you’ve not ever ventured out to other resorts, you aren’t just missing gaming action; you are missing the best part of your Tunica road trip—BUFFETS.
I’m talking about all you can eat, elastic pants needed, mile long buffets. Below are my favorites at each buffet in Tunica.
Bally’s—Cornucopia Buffet
This is a smaller buffet, but the quality of food is outstanding. The macaroni and cheese with real cheddar cheese on top is my personal favorite because it’s definitely made just minutes before you can put it on your plate.
Fitz—Riverview Buffet
I might call this buffet the freshest in Tunica. It was recently renovated to have live action buffet stations. The cooks prepare the food right in front of you at the buffet. The dessert bar always calls my name with homemade ice cream to top it all off.
Gold Strike—Courtyard Buffet
Anyone who knows me knows the all-you-can-eat lobster tails on Friday and Saturday nights are worth every penny. The cook-to-order pasta is also good if you are a lunch buffet person. There’s also a great Champagne Brunch every Sunday for a special treat with a champagne fountain and made-to-order omelets.
Harrah’s—Paula Deen Buffet
Based on the Food Network star, this buffet reminds me of my Grandmother’s kitchen on steroids. My favorites on the buffet are the squash casserole, three kinds of macaroni and cheese, buttery biscuits and hoecakes, and fried chicken. Picture to the right are also just a few of the desserts from the array of homemade pies, cakes, buttery bars, ice cream flavors, candies, and cookies. They even have sugar-free options (as if you could even consider taking the sugar out of dessert)!
Hollywood—Epic Buffet
Of all of the Asian stations in Tunica, I like this one the most. It has a wide array of stir fry choices, and the buffet was renovated this year, making the stations larger and more inviting to try more options.
Horseshoe—Village Square Buffet
Entering into the Village Square Buffet at Horseshoe can be a little intimidating because it’s hard to know where to start. I think this is one of the best salad bars. It is the only buffet in Tunica where I put lettuce on my plate with the exceptional number of salad toppings. I also like the lobster and crab leg night on Fridays. It’s a deal if you are a seafood lover.
Resorts—The Buffet
This buffet is very similar to Bally’s Cornucopia Buffet, and the fried catfish tastes like it was caught the day I ate it and seasoned to perfection.
Roadhouse—Big Kitchen Buffet
If you like fried foods, this buffet is for you. The newest station is all-you-can-fry. Choose from an array of foods for the cooks to fry for you ranging from chicken to a snickers bar.
Sam’s Town—The Great Buffet
You can’t leave Tunica without trying Memphis BBQ. The Great Buffet features Corky’s BBQ and Ribs, which are smoky, juicy, and tasty.
