Tunica Has Eats for Every Experience

Most visitors already know that Tunica provides a wealth of adventures and offerings, including world class golf and the region’s best casinos, but the dining scene is just as diverse and delightful. When in town, you’ll probably want a range of different meals depending on your itinerary. From local favorites to formal settings, Tunica’s restaurant scene provides bountiful choices for getting full. Here’s a sampling of dining in Tunica or click here for a complete list.

Local Favorites

If you want to visit local gems where Tunica’s residents convene to eat, there are several excellent choices for fitting right in. Blue and White is an old school Southern diner in downtown Tunica, where everything has been made from scratch since 1924. If country cooking with a side of Southern hospitality hits the spot, this is the place to be for a meat and three.

Another local treasure that always draws a crowd is The Hollywood Café. With their fried green tomatoes, catfish platters, and steaks, each dining room table looks like a celebration of Southern fare. Lunch or dinner, cocktails or fried dill pickles, every patron discovers something unique and delicious at the Hollywood Café.

Casual Bites

After a busy day enjoying Tunica, you may be looking for something quick and easy without getting gussied up.

Perhaps a turkey leg will hit the hunger pang. Krazy Legz Grill & Pub on Hwy 61 brings you the best turkey legs in Mississippi, with meat so tender it falls right off the bone. Krazy Legs even has stuffed turkey legs, so you can enjoy your unique bird with pasta Alfredo inside.

Another place with casual comfort food is Big T & Kay’s Smokehouse. Ride down to the outlet mall and you’ll find a storefront serving some of the region’s best barbecue. With a menu that also includes ribs, hamburgers, and hotdogs, Big T and Kay’s has it all.

A downtown hotspot to grab some low-key comfort food, Spuds Etc. specializes in oversized stuffed baked potatoes filled with Cajun turkey, seafood, or grilled chicken. Beyond the spuds, they also serve wings, sandwiches, pasta, and more.

For fried food inside a casino without the fuss, OG Bird fits the bill. The newest addition to Tunica and 1st Jackpot Casino, OG Bird brings all the fried chicken, fish, and burgers your appetite will allow. Finish it off with a milkshake before heading back out to the casino floor.

When craving surf and turf, Sam’s Town has a lobster tail and steak combination at Twain’s Steakhouse sure to create a memory. This is white tablecloth service at its best, reminding you to pamper yourself with an impeccable meal more frequently. Twain’s is open on Friday and Saturday evenings; reservations are required. Maybe you can be lucky enough to land a table near the welcoming yet intimate fireplace.

Classic casino appeal with a refined modern stylishness is exactly what you get when eating at Jack Binion’s Steakhouse. Dine like an old movie star or beloved crooner while feasting on dry aged, on-the-bone steaks, innovative seafood options, and specialties such as the Colorado Lamb Rack. Located in the Horseshoe Casino, Jack Binion’s is open daily for dinner.

Buffet Options

It’s normal to be the type of diner who wants to see a spread and sample the goods. Tunica has you covered with two distinct buffet options, both of which will leave your taste buds happy.

Gold Strike’s Buffet Americana has a vast collection of dining selections, from brick oven pizzas to a Mongolian grill. There is something for everyone here; you can even purchase a to-go box to relish in buffet choices from the privacy of your room.

On the other hand, it isn’t often that you have the opportunity to enjoy a buffet while also taking in beautiful views. That’s precisely what the Fitz’s Riverview Buffet offers; feast on a wonderful meal while staring out at the storied Mississippi River.
