Aquarium

Before you cast your lure into Tunica Lake or Tunica’s stretch of the Mississippi River, visit the aquariums inside the Mississippi River Museum at the Tunica RiverPark.

Stocked with fish native to Tunica’s ecosystem, the freshwater aquariums will prepare you for whatever you’ll find if you take your own journey into nature. Four enormous marine exhibits allow visitors to take a peek at the live turtles, gars and fish that lurk beneath the surface of the mysterious Mississippi River. In one special display case, 60-million-year-old fish fossils line the shelves. The aquarium exhibits are fun for everyone, especially for kids who are just starting to learn about nature. Even if fish aren’t your favorite, you’ll be fascinated by this glimpse of what lives in the Mississippi Lowlands.
