Tunica River Watch – Update May 16

Tunica County Emergency Management officials and the Mississippi Gaming Commission are currently working with all nine Tunica County casino resorts in an effort to assess flood damage, begin the clean-up process and prepare for facility re-openings.

It is anticipated that the re-opening process will be on a staggered basis by each individual property based on safe access and property occupancy for our visitors and employees.  Baring any unforeseen circumstances, we expect that the three Casino Center properties, Gold Strike Casino Resort, Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse will open on Friday, May 20.

Please note that there is an extensive check-list that both local and state emergency management officials must complete prior to an official announcement of the exact date and time of re-opening.  We will continue to update you on this process as the situation warrants.

Thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding as we begin the process of returning Tunica to the destination that you have grown to know and love.
