Blue and White Burger – This 1/3 pound hand-formed burger is one of the items that helped make the Blue and White restaurant in downtown Tunica famous. Cooked on a griddle and topped with your choice of items ranging from the usual cheese, lettuce and tomato to custom blackened seasoning, bell pepper, bacon, grilled fresh mushrooms, fried egg, fried green tomato or sauerkraut. Order with a side of hand cut fries and your hunger won’t be singing the Blues any longer.
The Gourmet Burger
Chicago Kobe Style Burger (Chicago Steakhouse – GoldStrike) – This isn’t your everyday burger. This is the type of burger you get dressed up for. You might think it is a little strange to go to a steakhouse and order a burger, but trust me on this one. It’s that good. The description on the menu is “Maui Onions, Beef Steak Tomato, Applewood Smoked Bacon & Black Diamond Cheddar on a Brioche Bun”, in other words delicious. Insider tip – Be sure to ask for your fries with a little truffle oil on them – you will thank me later.
The Extreme Burger
Belly Buster (Hollywood Cafe) – You may need a nap after this burger. The Belly Buster from the Hollywood is made up of two 1/2 pound patties, 6 slices of cheese, fried dill pickles, fried green tomatoes, bacon crumbles and topped with an onion ring. Add an order of handout fries with that and you are set.
The Late-Night Snack Burger
The Double Down Burger (8oz – Horseshoe Casino) – Appropriately named for its location at the 8 oz. Burger Bar inside the casino, this burger will cure any of your late night cravings. It consists of two 1/3 pound patties topped with American and white cheddar cheese, charred onions, roasted mushrooms, special sauce and lettuce on a freshly baked bun.
