All of us in Tunica are excited about coming back to Little Rock for the ASAE – A True Work of Art Tradeshow. The Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau along with our partners Kimberly Jordan-Sides with Gold Strike Casino Resort, Laura Withers with Sam’s Town Tunica and Cody Harrell with Harrah’s Tunica have worked hard to create a fun way to bring out the artist in you.
If you can draw, scribble, doodle or make stick figures we have an event for you. So tomorrow, stop by the “Tunica Art Studio” and create your own mini-masterpiece. Will have three framed “Works of Art” on display, simply reproduce one of them in your own style. Don’t worry, no one is going to be checking to see if you color within the lines.
As the roving art critics from all over Arkansas visit the “Tunica Art Studio” we will ask them to vote for their favorite works of Art. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the show. We look forward to seeing you there.
And to reintroduce you to one of Tunica great works of art, we are please to announce the reopening of the Tunica RiverPark and Museum.
A year ago at this time there was 4 inches of muddy, Mississippi River water running through the entire first floor. We have worked for almost a year to bring this facility back to life. Recent renovations have made the facility more attractive for large groups, opening night receptions, dinners and even smaller more intimate events.
As the Commercial Appeal aptly wrote on its editorial page recently, “ There is an old adage that says a crisis sometimes can be a catalyst for something good”. We hope that you will agree that this crisis has allowed us to make changes to the meeting and public space at the RiverPark that will be good for both you, the planner and Tunica as a destination.
The next time you visit Tunica, we want to make sure that you see one of our destination’s newest attractions. The Gateway to the Blues Visitor Center, located along Highway 61 between the two Harrah’s Casino entrances, the new visitor center is the future home of the 4,000 square foot Gateway to the Blues Museum.
And the next time you are in Tunica, be sure and poke your head next door at our newly renovated CVB office complex. Who knows, you might just want to use our new state of the art multi-media conference room during your association’s next meeting in Tunica!
I look forward to seeing you!
