I began my day at the Bellissimo Spa with a deep tissue massage. Typically, I’ve always had a basic massage when I’ve been at any spa. I tend to hold stress in my shoulders and back, so I thought why not give the deep tissue massage a go and I’m glad I did. It was the greatest massage!
If you don’t like a little “pain”, then I say keep it basic. But if you’ve got some knots that really need working out, while you’re in Tunica, then head over to Bellissimo Spa at Harrah’s Casino Tunica for a deep tissue massage or any other kind – they have a whole menu of massages & body treatments.
After my massage, I headed over to get my nails done. I’m more of a pedicure kind of person, but thought I’d give the manicure another try. After getting my hands soaked and scrubbed, the manicurist shaped my nails perfectly. Plus the polish lasted for a solid week before it began chipping! I’m convinced that it lasted because of how it was applied, not the OPI polish. This is my second manicure at Bellissimo Spa and I can’t wait until spring, so I can make another appointment!
Me and the girls took a mid-day break and rode the Harrah’s shuttle from Veranda (hotel that houses Bellissimo) to the main casino building. The cardboard Paula Deen greeted us with a friendly smile and a “Hey Y’all!” We all made a beeline for the fried chicken and mac n’ cheese. Paula’s Mac n’ Cheese is awesome! I ate so much I didn’t have any room for dessert – talk about disappointment!
I was up for my facial after lunch. It was a good thing because, after the huge lunch I ate at Paula Deen’s Buffet, laying on my stomach did not sound appealing. I settled in for some cleaning, some toning and then some hydrating. The facial experts at Bellissimo Spa review your skin for any special treatment needs. I had the typical oily/dry issue and got a hydrating mask. My skin felt so good afterwards, but what I liked best was the painting on of the mask. It was so relaxing!
After the facial, I was so relaxed from the day’s activities that I could have taken a nap, which I told one of the Bellissimo staff and was immediately offered a blanket to lounge in the waiting room. Instead I decided to head to the hot tub with the girls to cap off this “Day at the Spa.”
