“Shop ’til you drop” is my motto, and living here in Tunica allows me to do just that. While Tunica may be known for our casinos, great food, and the MS Blues Trail, there is also some of the best shopping in the Mid-South.
Tunica is home to a variety of specialty and antique stores, as well as the Casino Factory Shoppes outlet mall, that is home to over 30 stores such as Bass, Carter, Children’s Place, and GAP Outlet. Visit www.CasinoFactoryShoppes.com for a complete list of stores and specials.
Downtown Tunica offers a variety of specialty shops and one-of-a-kind gifts for the home, bridal registry, and the hottest fashions of the season. While shopping in town during the holiday season, make sure you register for the $1,000 Shopping Spree sponsored by Tunica Main Street and local merchants each year. It officially begins with the Holiday Open House Preview Party on November 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Then November 21 – December 16, for every $25 you spend with merchants, you are entered to win. The merchants include 1251 Place, Alpha Commission, Cafe Marie, Clayton Appliance and Furniture, The Columns, The Levee Shack, Magnolia Photography, Miss Tootie’s Diner, Tunica Florist, Tunica Full Service, Tunica Hair Studio and Williams Furniture. The winner will be drawn December 16, so make sure to enter multiple times to increase your chances of winning.
Our nine casinos also have hot shopping spots. Each casino gift shop offers a variety of items, such as designer handbags and clothing to unique souvenirs from your trip to Tunica.
For someone looking for a unique gift, Harrah’s Casino recently opened a Swarovski Crystal Outlet complete with sparkling jewelry and delicate crystal sculptures. The outlet is located just outside of the Paula Deen buffet, which has a huge selection of Paula Deen cookware, cookbooks and kitchen items for the Southern cook in your family. For more information on Paula Deen merchandise, check out their Facebook page.
If you have a golf enthusiast on your holiday shopping list, all three Tunica golf courses (Cottonwoods, River Bend Links, and Tunica National Golf & Tennis) have pro-shops to fill all your needs.
Not to forget the nature and history buffs, the Tunica Museum and Tunica RiverPark & Museum feature locally made crafts, books, artwork and gems in their gift shops.
This holiday season head over to Tunica for everyone on your list! And just think in Tunica, you might double your money to pick up something for yourself. I see that as a win-win situation.
