As summer approaches and the days get longer, you often look for new experiences and new places to visit. Did you know that Tunica has three museums open and offering fun for all ages? It is a perfect way to spend a day in Tunica whether a regular visitor or a first timer!

Tunica Gateway to the Blues MuseumGateway to the Blues Museum & Visitor Center

The newest attraction to Tunica is the Gateway to the Blues Museum- be sure to make it your first stop on Blues Highway 61 and see the story of the blues come to life in all its tormented and anguished glory. You’ll experience interactive exhibits, artwork and more — including a recording studio where you’ll learn the basics of blues music with a chance to record your very own blues song. This must-see attraction for all music lovers, will tell the remarkable story of how The Blues was born and the role Tunica played in building the genre’s legacy. Summer hours: Mon.-Fri. 9am-5:30pm; Sat. 10am-6pm; Sun. 1-6pm , Admission: $10 Adults $5 Children


Tunica Museum

Get to know Tunica’s history from the folks who know it best—its own citizens! In 1997, five proud Tunica townspeople wanted to preserve their town’s heritage, so they founded the Tunica Museum, which does all that and more! Here at the Tunica Museum, you’ll see exciting exhibits, attend special educational events, and listen to the best history lectures in town! You’ll follow Tunica’s history from its Native American beginnings to the Civil War to the town it is today—and everything in between. You’ll even see how the addition of casinos in 1992 made gaming a part of the town’s one-of-a-kind culture.
And the best part is, you can do it all without spending a dime! Admission to the museum is free. Hours: Tues–Sat: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.


Tunica RiverPark & Museum

Tunica RiverPark & Museum lets visitors explore and understand the rich history of the Mississippi Delta and America’s greatest river. Since reopening in 2012 the Mississippi River Museum inside the RiverPark now offers multiple interactive attractions and seasonal exhibits featuring different aspects of Delta culture. The RiverPark also offers nature trails, beautiful views of the Mississippi, riverboat cruises on the historic Tunica Queen and plenty of space for hosting weddings, meetings and receptions.  Summer hours: Tues.- Sat. 10am-6pm; Closed Sunday and Monday , Admission: $10 Adults $5 Children $9 Senior Citizens
