When you hear the name Resorts Casino you usually think winning, but did you know that Resorts also has some of the best dining choices around as well as great shopping? Each experience even has their own way of paying homage to the Blues culture here in the Mississippi Delta.
Let’s start with the dining, because who doesn’t want to hear where you can get the juiciest steaks, fresh lobster and some of the best home cooking in town. Featuring two Blues themed restaurants, there is something for every craving!
The Delta Blues Buffet serves some of the best southern style food in the area. The day I visited they buffet was full of mouthwatering choices such as fried chicken, pork loin, crispy fried okra, black-eyed peas, cabbage and much more. Not to mention the daily cobbler on the dessert bar which also offers sugar free delights as well! It was like Sunday dinner at Grandma’s house without having to help cook and do the dishes. Not only is the food delicious so is the décor. The buffet is decorated in shades of blue and there are many photos of Blues legends adorning the walls.
61 Grille is the place to go if you are looking to impress that special someone or if you just want a fantastic meal after an afternoon of gambling. 61 Grille offers tables and booths in the main dining area if you are looking for an intimate meal as well as plenty of seating at the bar if you prefer a social setting. Some of my favorites on the menu are the crab cakes, ribeye and don’t forget to add the lobster tail with a side of cognac mushrooms. Be sure to pair your meal with a bottle of wine from their extensive wine menu.
After dinner be sure to stop by the High Note gift shop. The High Note has a large assortment of Mississippi made items including candles from the Oxford Candle Company, t-shirts from Simply Southern, and beautiful handmade jewelry. They even have a large assortment of Blues themed tees and socks! Here, you are surely to find something to take home to a loved one or all for yourself- we know you deserve it!
So be sure to stop by Resorts Casino on your next stop to Tunica and get a taste of the Blues!
