Stunning New Renovations at Jack Binions Steakhouse

Stunning New Renovations at Jack Binions Steakhouse

The Horseshoe Casino hit a jackpot with the new look of Jack Binion’s Steakhouse. The new design is part of a $10 million dollar overall casino renovation at the property. Changes to the restaurant include an expanded dining space with a hip new bar area overlooking the casino floor. The dining room is sophisticated yet fun and is decorated with vintage pictures of Jack Binion himself.

The new bar is the perfect place to meet a group of friends after work for a drink or party the night away. The bar has a large open feel and is right off the casino floor near the table games and next door to the stage bar that has live music nightly, so you wont miss any of the action, while grabbing a bite to eat from their new small bites menu or sipping on your favorite cocktail. The most amazing thing and the coolest new feature, I think, is the wine from the barrel menu. If you look at the bar you might think that the taps are your standard beer taps. Wrong, they are wine taps and pour the perfect glass of wine that would mike any wine connoisseur sing.

Not only did the look of the restaurant get a makeover, so did the menu. Some of the items that caught my eye were the braised pork belly appetizer, which is a piece of braised pork belly on top of rosemary french toast with an apple ginger chutney. For those who prefer seafood, try the baked oysters or the tea-crusted scallops. For an entree, I chose the 45-day dry-aged JB premium reserve bone in ribeye. The meat was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the kitchen cooked it perfectly. I was told that the 24 oz. tomahawk ribeye was a favorite and plan on trying that next time. And then there are the sides . . . you may be thinking, “So what? A potato and a veggie? You can get that anywhere.” Well you can find a potato bar here, but I would choose the white cheddar mac and cheese with lobster, yum! You can’t come to a place like this without trying the desserts. I will admit, I am not a bread pudding fan, but I will be ordering this one every time I visit. It is served in a stainless steel dish and topped with a white chocolate sauce that will leave you wanting to lick the bowl when it’s gone.

There are so many scrumptious things on the menu, I only wish my stomach was bigger because I want to try them all. I know that I will be going back again very soon and hope to see you there.
