Whether you call it bean bag toss, corn toss, baggo, bags or cornhole, the popular lawn game in which players take turns throwing beanbags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end guarantees a good time. And in Tunica, we’re all about a game that allows you to have a free hand for drinks! Whether you prefer being a spectator or participant, we have the event for you.
The American Cornhole Organization World Championships of Cornhole returns to Harrah’s Tunica on January 9-12, 2013.
Pro and Social Cornhole players will compete for the following World Championship titles: World Social Doubles, King of Sling, World Doubles, Queen of Cornhole and the featured main event – The King of Cornhole®. Registration fees range from $10 to $250, and spectators are FREE. For more information on the World Championships or to register, visit www.AmericanCornhole.com.
THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE IN 2012.
This year’s tournament will also host the Man Crates World’s Biggest Cornhole Board Guinness World Record attempt. If you’re wondering how large the board has to be to win this award…it might be a little hard to imagine. The board will be 24 feet wide x 48 feet long x 12 feet on the back side and bags will be thrown/launched from 300 feet away.
For more information about the Guinness World Record attempt including building of the board, test launches and the unveiling, like the Facebook page at Facebook.com/greatbigcornhole
You’re also invited to participate in the world record by posting your photo on the Great Big Cornhole Facebook page. Up to 10,000 photos will be printed directly on the board. Make plans to be in Tunica on January 9, 2013 to see the official unveiling and launch in the Harrah’s Tunica parking lot.
