One of my favorite things on a trip is the hotel room, so I’m always disappointed if the hotel is underwhelming or looks like it was decorated before I graduated kindergarten. But Gold Strike doesn’t just supply the type of rooms you want to just sleep in and leave. One look at a Gold Strike room, and you’ll see why Gold Strike has been voted as having the best hotel rooms in Tunica three years in a row.
All rooms and suites have recently been renovated with contemporary furnishings and decor. Guest rooms have a separate dressing area that includes a vanity, at least one flat screen TV, a marble bathroom, armoire, writing desk, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and phone. Wireless Internet access is also available in every room so you can research and add to your Tunica itinerary, as needed.
Gold Strike also has two types of suites available. Both suite styles have one bedroom with a king-sized bed and a sitting room with a television in each room. The Oxford Suite can accommodate up to four guests and includes a bar. I don’t know about you, a bar in the hotel room always makes me feel like a rockstar. Click here for a virtual tour of the Oxford Suite.
The Hawthorne Suite is targeted toward couples visiting Tunica. It’s the most popular suite at Gold Strike. The suite includes all the amenities of the Oxford Suite, but instead of a bar, there’s an oversized Jacuzzi tub. Reservations for any of these rooms can be made by calling (888) 24K-STAY or online.
While at the hotel, stop by the pool and outdoor patio. Gold Strike is also home of the Golden Reflections Spa, which includes a heated pool with an oversized Jacuzzi. There’s also a gym with treadmills and weight lighting machines. If you’re looking for massage therapy, read over the spa brochure and schedule an appointment by calling (662) 357-1111.
Now that you know your options for hotel reservations, check in and I’ll take you around the casino floor in next week’s Casino Spotlight.
