Casino Spotlight: More Than 2,600 Ways to Win at Harrah’s Tunica

As you walk through Harrah’s impressive entryway, you’re instantly hit with the casino feel. The bead-like lighting is reminiscent of Las Vegas, and at 140,000 square feet, Harrah’s says it’s the largest casino between Vegas and Atlantic City. I can’t believe how many slots they have: more than 2,000! On top of that, they have 60 table games.
Just like the rest of Harrah’s Tunica, the slots selection at Harrah’s is all about variety. If you want to see for yourself what’s available, search Harrah’s slot finder to browse before your visit. Some of their newest popular penny slots include Vivaldi’s Seasons, Colossal Jackpots and the Mighty Atlas.

At many machines, the Total Touch drink ordering system is available, which takes ordering drinks at the slots to the next level. At the slots, an interactive screen provides a list of drink options that can be delivered to you. If you are using your Total Rewards card at the machine, you can make ordering even easier by selecting one of your previously ordered drinks.

I like checking out the slots, but where I feel more at home is at the tables. You can’t beat the liveliness of the craps table or the sound of the roulette wheel. Harrah’s also has blackjack, three card poker, Caribbean stud and mini baccarat.

If you’ve been beating your friends at your own informal poker nights, it’s a good time for you to visit Harrah’s. Poker tournaments are held daily at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., and there are a couple of poker promotions going on now.

The nightly High Hand promotion awards seven winners $100 each morning and night. Each hour from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m., the highest hand wins $100. And every two hours from 12 a.m. until 6 a.m., the highest hand wins $100. The Royal Flush promotion awards the player with a Royal Flush $250. At the Texas Hold’em tables, $25 is awarded every 30 minutes to the player in the Hot Seat from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. With its commitment to keeping poker players happy, it isn’t hard to see why Harrah’s hosted a World Series of Poker Circuit Event in February.

But before you start to play, make sure you sign up for Total Rewards, Harrah’s loyalty program. Through playing at one of the 40 casinos included in the rewards network, you can receive free play, shopping, tickets and hotel stays. Earn credits by gaming, dining or shopping. Take a look at the Total Rewards Marketplace to see a few of the items you can purchase with your rewards.

Next month, we’ll tour Gold Strike, home of the World Poker Open, the Millennium Theater and the Chicago Steakhouse.
