All of us in Tunica are excited about your upcoming visit to our area. The Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau along with our community partners Gold Strike Casino Resort, Horseshoe Casino Tunica and Harrah’s Tunica have worked hard to make sure your visit is both informative and fun!
We are especially excited about your visit to the newly renovated and improved Tunica RiverPark. Recent renovations to the facility have made the facility more attractive for large groups, opening night receptions, dinners and even smaller more intimate events.
Your visit Sunday night will be exactly 364 days after the museum’s valuable collection of artifacts were professionally packed and the facility closed in advance of the rising Mississippi river. Unfortunately, the “Mighty Mississippi” was a bit too much for our sand bagging efforts with approximately 4 inches of water covering the entire first floor.
As the Commercial Appeal aptly wrote on its editorial page this week, “ There is an old adage that says a crisis sometimes can be a catalyst for something good”. We hope that you will agree that this crisis has allowed us to make changes to the meeting and public space at the RiverPark that will be good for both you, the planner and Tunica as a destination.
While in Tunica, we want to make sure that you see one of our destination’s newest attractions. That’s why we would like to offer you a small gift and ask that you visit our new Gateway to the Blues Visitor Center during your stay. Located along Highway 61 between the two Harrah’s Casino entrances, the new visitor center is the future home of the 4,000 square foot Gateway to the Blues Museum.
Stop in the new center anytime during your Tunica visit, show your MSAE name badge to one of the helpful travel councilors and choose from one of these Gateway to the Blues or Tunica MS themed gifts as an appreciation of your visit to Tunica!
“Get Some Mo’ Jo Working” – GTB Coffee Mug
