The Mississippi River is receding and the Tunica casinos are rolling out the red carpet for their reopening. All 9 Tunica casinos will be open in time for the Memorial Day weekend and some of them are planning reopening celebrations that you don’t want to miss.
Sam’s Town Tunica and Hollywood Casino Tunica opened the doors yesterday, May 25. Resorts Casino will open today, May 26 at noon. Bally’s Casino will reopen Friday, May 27 at noon. Stop by this weekend to help welcome their hard working employees back and show them how much we missed them.
Fitz Casino Tunica would like to invite everyone out Friday, May 27th from 4pm to 8pm for hot dogs and hamburgers, cold beer and guests will receive an “I Survived the Flood of the Century” t-shirt. On Saturday May 28th from noon until 5pm they will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs and BBQ.
Harrah’s Casino Tunica celebration and ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. atop the levee overlooking the main porte-cochere at Harrah’s Casino Tunica. After the ceremony the casino will be officially open to the public and all first responders and civil and military service personnel along with one guest are invited to a special thank you luncheon at the Paula Deen Buffet on the second floor of Harrah’s. Upon entry into the reopened casino guests will receive American flags, a commemorative 2011 flood t-shirt and Mardis Gras Beads. Civil and military service personnel and all first responders will also be able to show their service IDs to receive a free meal in the Paula Deen buffet during the Memorial Day Weekend Friday, May 27 through Monday, May 30, 2011.
Gold Strike reopened on Wednesday, May 18 followed by Roadhouse Tunica on Thursday, May 19 and Horseshoe Tunica on Friday, May 20.
Thank you to everyone for your support and we are excited to welcome you back to the Tunica area.
