Summer is here! It gets hot in Tunica, but when Harrah’s throws a Heatwave Pool Party things get even hotter!
Chrissy, Claire, and I headed to cool off at the pool party recently. We decided if we were going, we were going big, which included renting a cabana for the day. The cabanas have a personal refrigerator, towels, chairs and even a misting system for cooling down. Someone was always stopping by to ask if we needed anything. We did have a few cabana boys, but unfortunately none were shirtless!
In addition to Memphis’ Q107.5 airing live, the talented DJ Crumbz was spinning music for plenty of poolside dancing. If dancing is not your thing, the Heatwave Pool Party has beer pong, pool volleyball and flip cup (something we learned to play after being recruited by someone we deemed the “Cruise Director”). Q107.5 was giving away lots of prizes throughout the afternoon. There was even a contest for the sexiest tattoo!
Harrah’s Heatwave Pool Parties are definitely a great way to spend an afternoon. Plus, this party isn’t just for the younger crowd or the partygoers. There were people of all ages (21 and up). And we even saw some people relaxing poolside with a book. My favorite part was hanging at the pool with great friends, cold drinks and good music.
You don’t have to rent a cabana to enjoy the Heatwave at Harrah’s, even though it is a great way to Live It Up Just Down the Road. General admission is $5 and the party is from Noon-7pm every Saturday through Labor Day. Click HERE for more information including cabana fees.
